NDIS Support Workers

In order to acheive a set goal or accomplish an aim it is not defined through chance or pure luck .  Immense amount of hard work and dedication is required and defines the underlying definition for the A acronym in ABEL.

Our staff recognise this and ensure that they are supporting each client  to have every opportunity to achieve their desired goal or  accomplishment through professional engagement and authentic practises.

Belong

ABEL Support Staff recognises and understands the multi-cultural diversity of the National Disability  Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participant demographic. We are committed to providing our NDIS services in a culturally appropriate manner and will engage  supportive processes and agencies to ensure effective service provision and communication with all  NDIS participants and their representatives.

Our documentation and processes will provide opportunity for the collection of preferences and  developing responses to meeting participants’ cultural needs.

Our staffing strategies include appropriate recruitment, training and allocation of staff competent to  meet participants’ cultural needs. We will support participants and their rights to engage with and maintain their cultural values and  beliefs while providing the best possible service

ABEL Support Staff cultural engagement process includes the provision of appropriate media, use of  translators and interpreters, engaging appropriate supportive representatives, family and friends as  well as community supports, this will be supported by a recruitment strategy the reflects the  demographic in which we operate.
